LORIS WATCHING (NIGHT WALK)

Elusive, wide-eyed, and full of character, the Grey Slender Loris is one of Sri Lanka's most fascinating nocturnal primates. Endemic to Sri Lanka and parts of southern India, this tiny creature is known for its silent, graceful movements through the forest canopy and its large, reflective eyes adapted for night vision. Highly sensitive and shy, the Grey Slender Loris is rarely seen but with the guidance of our experienced field Naturalist and the help of red-light headlamps, your chances of spotting one are remarkably good. This guided walk takes place in a protected landscape of native trees and shrubs which provide ideal habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Along the way you may also encounter owls, nightjars, bats, geckos, and other forest-dwelling creatures which come alive after dusk.
